SAROMAX100 BENDS & PIPES

Wear-resistant chromium carbide bends and pipes

SAROMAX100 Bends & Pipes is the SARO solution dedicated to the wear protection of pneumatic conveying lines and systems subject to continuous erosion. The components are made with:

  • carbon steel structure
  • wear-resistant overlays in extremely hard chromium carbides

This configuration provides:

  • high erosion resistance
  • long service life
  • reduced maintenance on pneumatic conveying lines
  • reliability in abrasive material conveying processes

Due to the high hardness of the carbides, the components cannot be machined by chip removal. SAROMAX100 anti-wear bends are therefore manufactured by:

  • shells welded together
  • construction from wear-resistant overlay pipes
  • configurations designed for specific applications

The applications concern in particular:

  • dilute phase and dense phase pneumatic conveying
  • bends subject to heavy erosion
  • tubing for abrasive materials
  • dust and granule conveying lines
  • high-speed conveying systems

SAROMAX100 solutions are designed considering:

  • abrasiveness of the conveyed material
  • flow speed and dynamics
  • impact and wear level
  • plant geometry
  • required operating continuity
  • operating conditions of the plant

The goal is:

  • extend the service life of components
  • Reduce stops and maintenance
  • improve plant reliability and efficiency
  • ensure high operating performance even in the harshest industrial environments

Thanks to the high performance of chromium carbide coatings, SAROMAX100 represents one of SARO's main solutions for wear protection in industrial plants dedicated to the handling of highly abrasive materials.
