SUPERSARO MISSION #10: The rotary valve.
Rotary valves dose and discharge material while maintaining a seal between pressurized and depressurized environments, but they operate at the most stressed points of the system: industrial dusts, ashes, coal powder, RDF, and abrasive minerals erode rotors, valve bodies, and sealing edges, leading to a loss of dosing precision. SARO designs custom protection—SARCER and SARMOS ceramic coatings, anti-abrasion overlays, and SAROMAX 100 on rotors—based on five criteria: material type and abrasiveness, particle size and flow rate, rotation speed, pressure and system configuration, and operational continuity.
