Localstorage
It is a technology used to optimize navigation, which does not collect data on user preferences (e.g., it stores a code that identifies the user's session after login, to prevent the user from having to enter a username and password on every profile page when accessing restricted areas).
Pixel tracking
“Tracking code” or “monitoring code” is precisely a small piece of code that is released by some systems with the purpose of being implemented in others to track certain data related to the user and their browsing or email opening session, in a completely transparent way to the user themselves. The data that is tracked can be very diverse, such as the day and time, geographic location, type of device used for browsing, up to more complex tracking pixels that monitor the amount spent on a purchase order and other useful information for the marketing departments of the companies that use them.
Plugin
It is a program that interacts with another program to expand or extend its original functionalities. The most commonly used plugins are those for social networks, which allow, for example, the user to follow a social network page or profile with a click, to indicate with a click that they liked a web content, and to share it on their social network profile, etc.
Widget
