SARO's early history follows
that of the important professional career development of its founder, Rosario “Saro” Curatolo.
His expertise derives from extensive experience working in the technical and marketing divisions of major steel companies.
SARO revolutionized the anti-wear sector with the launch of the "Resinal Ceramic" product. From then on, ceramic became the most widely requested solution by the market.
Move to larger premises. Via Carducci in Legnano provided space for a workshop and production facility and offices for a technical department to develop projects.
SARO obtained its first quality certification. The company's anti-wear solutions are also requested by and used in the circular economy (recycling of RDF, glass, and paper).
He founded SARO in Legnano, near Milan.
The company's first solutions, dedicated to mills and crushers, were in the form of anti-abrasion castings, cast by the foundries in the area.
Entry into the chipboard industry. Installation of the first rotary valve lined with ceramic and the first ceramic lining of a resin blender.
"CERGOMTUBI," now Hexagon Hose, a new flexible hose with very high wear resistance, developed to meet the pneumatic conveying needs of steel mills and power plants.
With the expansion of the marketing division, SARO planned major commercial growth, also in terms of exports, which coincided with a further increase in the number of employees.
Official move to the new premises in Arconate, with large spaces for management, the sales force, production staff, and logistics. The company's sheet metal with chrome carbide cladding and a new version of the ceramic-hose Tetragon Hose entered production.
A further innovation by the SARO brand, Resinal μ50 meets the need to coat and protect objects and components of small size and with complex geometry.
SARO starts up a new management program which brings all departments together. New staff members join the workforce, completing the functional organizational chart.
Hiring of new administration and workshop staff. By now, almost all of the work is carried out in the production workshop.
The extensive participation of customers and suppliers in the event celebrating Saro's 20th anniversary confirmed its success.
Completion of the staff of the technical department. All processes are by now handled 100% in-house.
