SAROMAX 100 is composed of chromium carbides with very high hardness, deposited by submerged electric arc powder fusion on carbon steel plate. SAROMAX100 is suitable for all kinds of abrasive applications with medium and low impact; it is the most popular steel-based product as a solution to wear problems in heavy secondary industries: steel mills, cement factories, incinerators, mines, glassworks, concrete batching plants, port drains, etc.

The hardness of chromium carbides does not allow machining by chip removal but only by laser or plasma cutting. It is possible to order plates and parts made to drawing: hoppers, chutes, cyclones, cyclones, armors, shovels, plowshares, scrapers, etc., with thicknesses different from those in the table.
