PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

SAROPLAST T250 A&B Two-component thixotropic epoxy adhesive with good resistance to high temperatures, hydraulic oils, lubricants, and fuel. Thanks to its adhesive strength and excellent high-temperature resistance, it is recommended for structural bonding in vertical and overhead applications. Due to its thixotropic properties, the product is also suitable for bonding and filling uneven surfaces.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Surface Preparation

A surface preparation is important for long-term product performance. Parameters may vary depending on the severity of the application, expectations for durability, and initial conditions of the substrates to be treated.

  1. Remove any dirt, oil, grease etc. with a suitable detergent.
  2. Every irregularity, splash or weld witness and every other surface roughness, must be leveled and flattened; every indentation or porosity must be grouted and leveled. Every protrusion, edge or joint, must be leveled with a minimum radius of 3mm and every corner must also be rounded with the same characteristics.
  3. Sandblast the entire surface to be treated with an angular grit to a roughness of 50-70 microns, and a blasting grade close to White Metal (SIS SA 2½ /SSPC-SP 10). For immersion applications, a blasting grade equal to White Metal is required (SIS SA 3/SSPC-SP 5).
  4. After blasting, the metal surface should be cleaned with a residue-free cleaner or solvent to remove dust and contaminants. Clean, dry compressed air can also be used to remove dust and contaminants. The surface should be coated before reoxidation occurs.

Mode of Application:

  1. Mix the two components, properly weighed in the quantities specified by the mixing ratio, for approximately 3 minutes.
  2. Film thickness 1mm.
  3. Application temperature for surface and environment: 15-30 °C.
  4. Relative humidity: <85 %; Surface temperature should always be above the dew point by at least 3 °C.
  5. All untreated areas or areas with limited thickness must be restored by applying further product before installing the covering to be adhered

Cleaning

Clean equipment immediately after use with a solvent such as acetone or isopropyl alcohol. Once cured, the product can only be removed mechanically.
